Pirate Cove Day 2

Pirate Cove Day 2 April 7, 2018, our annual Pirate Cove 4×4 and PWC event takes off during Spring break where the winds were light and 25 anxious adventures were ready to ride from Pirate Cove, Needles CA to London Bridge and to Havasu Springs AZ for lunch. The ride took us down the Colorado River past Topac 66 through the Gorge and into Lake Havasu. About 15 miles into the ride a member was taking on water and another PWC broke an impeller so our amazing crew made arrangements with our road crew to assist at Lake Havasu State Park to retrieve the skis. As we entered the channel at London Bridge spectators were shocked to see that many skis coming into London Bridge Channel. The ride was smooth and the sun was 85 degrees. We traveled through the channel approx. 2 miles to the Chevron fueling station to top off. We then headed to Havasu Springs for lunch about 17 miles from this point. After lunch we headed back to Pirate Cove with 130 round trip miles.
